About The Event

Please join us in person for a Sacramento Sports History celebratory discussion covering early Sacramento baseball history by Marshall Garvey, an abbreviated history of the Sacramento Kings from Gregg Lukenbill, our Rivercats spectacular 21-year history presented by the President/COO, Chip Maxson, and a 30-year sports overview by writer and editor Marcos Breton of the Sacramento Bee.

The program will highlight 170+ years of our sports history with pictures and rare, never-before-seen historical video clips.  The new arrangement of the Hall with sideways, half-circle seating and 75-inch televisions, has vastly improved seating proximity and viewing clarity.  Hall attendees will be able to directly question and converse with the speakers about various aspects of Sacramento sports history.

We have adjusted to SAFE, COVID-19 guidelines for the in-person Hall meetings with distancing, masks and other recommendations of health officials.  We are continuously making program improvements, raising the quality of our informative, live-speaker monthly presentations and working on expanding the SHS footprint and national benchmarking.
